A letter to the heavens

Love an emotion of difference
I feel it for you
So desperately, when I nearly anger you, I cry
For my tears are signs that I love you
I have heard beautiful words from you
That no other can convey
I would give all I have for
You to love me too
But I pray you want less than that
I know you understand, my often defect
For my human state makes mistakes
I only speak to gain your pleasure
So forgive oh Thee
For, by the Lord of the worlds
I testify you are the Lord of me

Your vebalised words, written
Are truly quite profound
Depicting so correctly
The feeling unspoken aloud
My dear you are a natural-poet
Blooming with a gift from Above
So may He, Whose Love you are seeking
Bless you with your ultimate true Love.

Ameen Allahumma, ameen.

Masha'Allah, beautiful, simply beautiful.

Without imagery, an outburst of feelings, frankness & simplicity—so aptly expressed! But, could you elaborate the last line… what it means?

Salam Akhi

Shukran for your message.
In reply to your request, for an explanation to the last line.

Usually when people swear by something, their vow indicates the importance of that which they are swearing by and that which they are swearing for.

In the Quran Allah (swt) swears by ‘The Sun’, ‘The Moon’, and even ‘The Pen’. In the Tafseer of Ibn Kathir, it is explained that Allah does this to bring our attention to that which He is about to explain and also to the importance of that which he has just sworn by.

So by my declaration “For, by the Lord of the worlds”, I am swearing by Allah (The most important of all). “I testify You are the Lord of me”, indeed I wholeheartedly believe He is my Lord, The One and Only that deserves my worship and that of all of His creation.

I hope this insight provides you with a better understanding of the poem.

Jazakallah Khair for your pensive explanation!

O Allah! Instill humility in us, cancel vain anger & deviant thoughts, and guide us onto the straight path. Aa'meen!
